How Baking Works

I am so excited! I just ordered a new baking science book from Amazon called "How Baking Works: Exploring the Fundamentals of Baking Science."  Yes, I am a baking science nerd.  I'll let you know if it's a good one; the reviews it got were very positive!

Winter is over but...

I have a new cookie to add to the Cookies section of Treats called a Snowcap!  A not-too-sweet cookie that is hardy, flavored with nutmeg and full of toasted walnuts!  This cookie looks like a snow-capped mountain because of its dusting of powdered sugar that is sprinkled on top, with jagged walnuts sticking out in mountainous formations!  Perfect with coffee or tea but be careful...I've been advised it's very easy to eat half a dozen of these in one sitting!  Look for them soon on the Cookies page!

Lemon Crunch is here!

As promised, the new Lemon Crunch cookie is on the Cookies page of Treats.  It's delicious, enjoy!

New Cookie!

A new cookie is on the way!  Lemon Crunch!  The same cookie as the popular Peppermint Crunch except that the white chocolate frosting is flavored with tart lemon! Mmmmm...

Valentine's Day Box of Treats

Valentine's Day is just about two weeks away and my special Valentine's Day Box of Treats is here just in time for it!  A beautiful pink and brown window box displays an assortment of chocolate and strawberry treats, with a special personalization on one of the treats for the one you love.  Look for it on the Seasonal page of Treats but here's a preview of it for now.  Cost: $20

Well, Valentine's Day is in the air already.  The stores are already stocked with chocolates and decorations for the day of love.  What's going on in my kitchen?  Plans for a special cookie to commemorate one of my favorite holidays....stay tuned...

Yes, Dee’s Treats will soon be accepting credit card payments!  I know this makes it a lot easier for those of you who are using company credit cards or are reporting the purchase on your expense reports.  I’m working on it so stay tuned!  In the meantime, I will continue to give you your total ahead of time so you can get a company check cut for those of you purchasing my Treats as client Thank You’s and for meetings.

Making Progress

I just want to thank all of you who have given me such great feedback on the site; it has really been helpful and it’s exciting to see it develop a little more every day!  I can’t tell you how exciting it is to work on Dee’s Treats!
